We are looking for an innovative, creative, and highly motivated individual to join our team in the St Louis market. General Characteristics: The Manufacturer Representative will be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships, executing sales plans, implementing, and managing individual sales objectives, forecasting, and building the communications/support for a results-oriented and customer-focused sales organization throughout St Louis and surrounding areas. This person must be self-motivated, personable, have superior communication and presentation skills and be an active team member. Duties: • Penetrate markets that take precision, accuracy and both influential and consultative selling • Develop strategic plan to achieve sales targets and grow customer base • Become product and industry expert and trusted partner for our customers • Manage and develop new customers, while maintaining existing sales within assigned customers and a given sales territory • Open new opportunities through networking; build, maintain, and prioritize customer relationships • Occasional travel to cultivate relationships and to call on regular and prospective customers • Improve product knowledge and sales techniques • Provide competitive information such as bid situations, pricing data, or bundling arrangements to establish negotiated pricing contracts for assigned products • Perform product demonstrations, and application support Competencies: • Superior communication style, strategic thinking, and organization skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and exemplary professionalism are required • Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships • Ability to work independently and be highly motivated • Ability to work with multiple manufacturers • Experience in design/ sales • Existing design community relationships • Outgoing and confident personality with intelligence and an entrepreneurial spirit • Excellent customer service skills • Strong work ethic / trustworthy Qualifications: • BA/BS degree in relevant field preferred, AA/AS degree considered • Authorization to work in the U.S. required • 1 to 3 years of business to business sales required, 3 to 5 years (Preferred) • Estimated travel is less than 25% Compensation/ Start Date: • Our generous commission policy offers above average earning potential with a flexible schedule. • The position can start as soon as possible.
