Gray Design Group, a multi-disciplinary firm, is looking for an Interior Designer with a minimum of 5 years related experience to join us in our Interiors Studio. Our studio’s approach to design is rooted in the belief that architecture, interiors, branding and product are essential components to the overall success of a project. Varying design disciplines are not treated as phases that happen sequentially, but as integrated components, critical to the design process. This method allows us to provide a cohesive end product and a project delivery system that exceeds expectations. The position will be in support of multiple sectors including corporate office, senior living, and multi-family housing and will work in all phases of project development. Position Requirements: We are interested in NCIDQ certified interior design candidates as well as those currently seeking certification. Candidates must have either a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited interior design program. •Self-motivation and high energy •Talent and passion for design •Ability to work in team setting •Responsive and dependable in meeting deadlines •Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task •Strong presentation and communication skills •Fluency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD is preferred. The ideal candidate to join Louer Facility Planning, Inc. for this position will: • Have a desire learn more about the commercial design and furniture industry. • Have, or be working towards having, an undergraduate degree in interior design from a CIDA accredited institution. • Possess skills in space planning and documentation using AutoCAD. • Possess skills in creative thinking, color and material selections. • Have experience in rendering with 3D programs (SketchUp, CET Designer). • Have experience with Microsoft Office programs, Excel, Word & PowerPoint, in particular. • Be adept at creating posts for social media. • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Be extremely attentive to details. • Be enthusiastic and creative. This person may be involved in the following: • Preparing furniture layouts and space planning. • Preparing furniture specifications. • Creating presentations using a variety of media, 3D renderings & other visual aids for client presentations. • Finish selections, organizing and maintenance of materials library. • Assist and support design team. The schedule for this position is flexible to be worked out around your school schedule, about16 to 24 hours per week. Start date will be July 15, 2021 (also flexible). The duration will be 6 months up to one year. Job Description Responsible for the design and specification of interior spaces for commercial, educational, government, healthcare, and private business clients. You'll work with people, solve problems for customers, and help grow a local business. The Job In this role we will rely on you to: Draw furniture layouts using CET and other tools. Generate furniture specifications. Produce technical installation drawings for use in the field. Make design recommendations for product solutions, value engineering, custom designs, appropriate product applications to enhance the opportunity to earn new business. Work with clients to help select products, finishes, and colors. Visit job sites at critical phases of installation. Participate in client meetings and in-house meetings to ensure tight coordination throughout all phases of projects. Skills Desired To be a great fit for this role we’re looking for: • Four year degree • NCIDQ Certification preferred • Contract Furniture experience preferred • CET Designer experience preferred • Comfortable communicating with clients at all levels of the organization • Knowledge of contract furniture lines features/benefits, pricing, application and assembly. • Knowledge of contract furniture processes, including order preparation, project management, order management, and delivery/installation preferred • Experience using Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Word, Outlook) • Experience using CRM (Hubspot) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
